The Fermenting Method

This method for getting your rice water is quite similar to the soak method. Actually, it is the same method, just a few more steps added.

With the fermentation method, after straining the liquid , you keep for two days, allowing it ferment. It is believed this serves to deepen the nutrients contained in the rice water, a claim remains unproven though.

The Boil Method

With this method, you place half a cup to one cup of water in a pot, pour in two cups of water and place on medium heat.

Leave to boil for 10-15 minutes, then take off heat, allow cool and strain the rice water into a separate bowl.
